DSv13: Return of the Stack
First off, I finally got resolution to a 20 year old question ... would my kid be alright; and last night I got reasonable confirmation that they will be.
I've been in-limbo about this for nearly decades; and it has affected every aspect of my life.
Now that I can lay it to rest, I can better focus on the other aspects of my life; crazy, but true, so here we go!
What a world; the United States is absolutely in the midst of fascism, and the Democrats are doing little to nothing about it; we'll see some highlights later, but first:
What is to be done about it?
Via DigiSnaxx I'm going to try and share stories each week that help weave a tale of hope and possibility;while through the events listings encourage people to interact.

Now that we got that out of the way!
Connection and art is the path, but we also need to consider economics; Occupy was the start of having conversations, but these conversations are too complex, and emotions/identities run too deep/shallow, too turbulent, for in-person conversation.
In these ways, behavior, in-person, can only be performative, and performative behavior isn't something that changes ... per se ... the underlying terrain can change, and so the performative facade adjusts, is all.
And we need to break through these routines in order speak honestly with each other.

Because very serious things are happening, and I'm skurred my projection that the US would become fragmented is very real; might even start to write stories about it!
It is what it is, we live and we learn; but the Dems did nothing prevent this; at every turn ... that one old white lady Justice could have stepped down in the Obama or Biden admin (sorry, can't remember which, but she had a choice!)
Anywho, lets not fall down that rabbit hole of hellfire named resentment either ...

The issue isn't that we are seeing Hitler 2.0 being created in real-time; it's how many of our neighbors are/were complicit – maybe even cheer it on; a white Christian Nation.
Why is that ?
We're still adapting to technology; and it's hit a plateau; everything is accessible, but the filters are owned by oligarchs – who profit off of a society feeding off of its most carnal desires.
Which means that access to innovation is unevenly distributed; we have the technology, we have the capacity to do better, we just don't have the time or direction, it would seem.
Even though there are Black and indigenous, brown people, doing good work; due too the prevalence of whiteness as a standard, or epitome, of humanity, they are only able to go so far; and so progress is only able to incremental at best.
While AI has become the latest can to kick down the road, instead of facing our interpersonal, intercultural rifts.

AI seems to be a solution in search of a problem; it has its uses, I suppose, but again, it is just a tool; yet also seems like a diversion, and unicorn even, that so many are being dazzled to pursue.
They say that a significant portion of GenZ has had "relationships" with an AI companion ... Lives in search of distractions.
Which is really sad, actually ... damn ... ok ... time to pick myself back up again ...
I've gotten a positive response to DigiSnaxx, am going to add a few more events to the Medellin calendar, and then publish it.
Along with weekly conversations on Discord; that is the play.
The challenge has been to find consistency for myself, or rather stability; but having some assurance that my kid is doing alright ... that's a massive step towards freedom, to be honest.
It's a lot of weight off of my shoulders.
Phew ... ok, now back to the work.
- Adding more events to DigiSnaxx Medellin
- Filming idioki Basics video
- Writing out a plan for DigiSnaxx deployment and growth
Because I have to take that back ... here's a recent quote:

At there's one white guy telling it like it is ... am I right? Or am I right?
There's more than one, but we also need to start to gather and converse, coordinate and well ... here's the deal, like I said, it's all performance; you can only change the terrain underneath.
Or to look at it a different way ... we need to calm the mind, so the heart can find peace, and the body can follow suit.
Ergo, conversation in digital spaces allow us to speak from safe places, and then explore the thoughts rendered independently as we walk through the rest of the world.
And in this way, we can change the terrain; but it starts by being physically absent, and so more mentally and emotionally present.
Excelente!
This was a solid post, I'm excited!
Back to being able to live out of my packs ... uff, moving back over to Linux full-time ... probably will write more ... gotta get that future-story out.
Oh, speaking of; there was a white lawyer guy who told me I need to get over somethings, on Facebook earlier today ... meh ... though it did remind me, I wrote a short story about such people a long time ago.
Hmm, I suppose I'll just publish it here, it's small enough:
On an island somewhere between the equator and prime meridian exists a village where a xamajra spoke, "And the ever enterprising Yahmans have built a great mountain which glows like a sun - giving the peasanthief no moon under which to escape. Their achievement is a great wave onto the sea."
The Calissenes, seeing this sun, seek it; as a spider plunders from a passing breeze. While inside, the Yahmans reign over a star born of mother earth’s womb; but of their genius and by the magic of their hands.
Boys work the terraced fields. The women too, tend the fields, the cooking, the cleaning, and often end up becoming the entertainment as well.
It being written, in Yahman law, that any male child born to a Calissene, of Yahman blood, must be cast from the visible and left nameless. From this pen, on the far edge of a glowing mountain, where light meets a precipice before an abyss, Yahman financiers tempt fate and wrestle the savages in an attempt to civilize their animal.
"And so, their achievement was like a great wave onto the sea. Gathering foam to its crest then plunging back into the deep."
"What does it mean?" asked a leaf having over heard the story.
"Nothing," replied the xamajra, "it simply happened."
This story is actually the prequel to The Tears of Balore.

Boom, bam, bling!
Until next time, peaces.
